The St. Mary Leadership Class of 2024 is proud to present the Hidden Figures Luncheon, a heartfelt event dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes, working tirelessly in our community’s social service organizations. Throughout our leadership journey, we had the privilege of visiting various nonprofits and social service organizations across St. Mary Parish. We listened to powerful stories from employees who work directly with individuals facing hardships—domestic violence survivors, those battling addiction, elderly individuals showing remarkable resilience, and adults seeking respect and equality in a world that often overlooks them. Their dedication, strength, and compassion left a profound impact on us. For our class project, we have chosen a two-fold mission: Honor the Hidden Figures – the selfless individuals who dedicate their lives to helping others through these organizations. Raise Awareness – to spotlight the incredible work being done and encourage greater community involvement and support. This luncheon is more than an event, it’s an opportunity to recognize these remarkable individuals, share their stories, and inspire others to contribute to their vital missions. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating these extraordinary people and the invaluable work they do.
